Video: SEP candidate Jerry White visits Chrysler plant in Warren, Michigan
24 February 2012
Jerry White, the Socialist Equality Party candidate for US president, visited the Chrysler Warren Truck assembly plant outside of Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday. He spoke to workers, explaining the basis of the SEP campaign in the 2012 elections.
Between 2006 and 2010, Chrysler reduced labor costs by 35 percent, mostly by cutting the wage for new-hires in half. This was part of the restructuring of the auto industry overseen and directed by the Obama administration.
